WORLD 05 / B-FORCE ACCELERATOR STRATEGY / IDENTITY / PROGRAM ECOSYSTEM
FROM IDEA TO INFRASTRUCTURE

An accelerator needed
more than a curriculum.
It needed a reason
to believe.

I originated the B-Force concept for Black BRAND, named it, built the identity and helped shape the system around it—creating an accelerator founders could understand, trust and want to enter.

$1M FIRST MAJOR FUNDING
15 WEEKS
10–15 COHORTS DURING MY INVOLVEMENT
THE OPPORTUNITY

Turn a strong accelerator idea into something funders, founders and partners could immediately understand.

MY ROLE

Concept, naming, identity, program positioning, promotional ecosystem and ongoing instruction.

THE THROUGHLINE

Build belief first—then give people a system strong enough to act on it.

THE SYSTEM / FROM IDEA TO INFRASTRUCTURE

The name gave it force.
The system gave it staying power.

B-Force was built as a Black business accelerator—not a generic entrepreneurship program with different branding. The concept centered the specific conditions founders were navigating and created a system around growth, scalability, funding readiness and access to resources that could move a business forward.

01
NAME + POSITIONING

B-Force made growth feel active.

I originated the accelerator concept and named it B-Force. The name gave the program energy, movement and memorability while creating a platform broad enough to hold business development, mentorship, funding readiness and founder ambition under one idea.

02
IDENTITY

Make the program feel established before it was familiar.

The visual system gave B-Force a distinct presence inside the larger Black BRAND ecosystem and helped the accelerator feel credible, ownable and built for growth.

03
FOUNDER EXPERIENCE

Design around the problem, not just the curriculum.

The program experience needed to help founders strengthen the business itself while also addressing barriers around market definition, scalability, capital access and growth readiness.

04
FUNDING STORY

Give partners a reason to invest.

I developed the funding and sponsorship strategy and the materials that communicated the program’s value to prospective partners.

ROLE CLARITY Blair managed sponsor relationships and closed the deals.
05
PROGRAM EXPERIENCE

The strategy had to survive contact with the classroom.

I participated in shaping the accelerator structure and have taught a two-hour Market Definition for Scalability session in every cohort since the program’s inception—keeping the strategic idea connected to the actual founder experience.

THE REAL TEST

Could the idea still work
after the launch campaign was over?

THE ASSIGNMENT / BUILD SOMETHING PEOPLE COULD BELIEVE IN

They wanted a business institute.
I proposed an accelerator.

The opportunity was bigger than packaging business education. Black founders were navigating specific barriers to growth—especially access to capital, scalability and the systems required to move a business forward. B-Force became a more focused answer to that need.

01
FOUNDERS

Build for the barriers that were actually there.

This wasn’t meant to be generic entrepreneurship education. The program needed to reflect the realities Black founders were facing as they tried to access capital, define scalable markets and build stronger businesses.

02
FUNDERS

Make the model legible.

The value of the accelerator had to be translated into a clear, credible story partners could understand and invest in.

03
PROGRAM

Turn education into forward motion.

The accelerator model created a stronger container for business development, market definition, mentorship, funding readiness and the resources founders needed to grow.

04
LONGEVITY

Build something that could keep working.

The system had to survive beyond a single cohort—strong enough to recruit again, teach again and support future funding efforts.

THE ORIGINAL ASK

Create a business institute.

→
THE STRATEGIC SHIFT

Build a Black business accelerator around growth, scalability and access to capital.

THE PROOF / THE BETTER IDEA KEPT EARNING ITS PLACE

The better idea
kept earning its place.

B-Force began as a strategic alternative to a business institute. The stronger proof came after launch: major funding, repeated cohorts, continued use of the funding story and a program model that kept serving Black founders over time.

$1M
FIRST MAJOR FUNDING

The concept became investable.

I developed the funding and sponsorship strategy and the materials that translated B-Force into a clear partner opportunity. Those materials supported the program’s first major $1M funding milestone and continued to be reused in later funding efforts.

ROLE CLARITY I developed the strategy, structure and materials. Blair managed sponsor relationships and closed the deals.
01
$3M+
REPORTED PROGRAM IMPACT

B-Force has reported more than $3M in impact as the accelerator continued beyond its original launch.

02
10–15
COHORTS DURING MY INVOLVEMENT

The model had to keep making sense across new groups of founders, not just prove itself once.

03
15
WEEKS

The accelerator was designed as a sustained growth experience centered on business development, scalability and readiness for the next level.

04
EVERY
COHORT
MARKET DEFINITION FOR SCALABILITY

I’ve taught the two-hour Market Definition for Scalability session in every B-Force cohort since the program began—keeping the strategy connected to the founder experience year after year.

THE BETTER OUTCOME

It didn’t just launch.
It became infrastructure.

MY ROLE / CONCEPT TO CONTINUITY

I helped turn the idea
into something people could enter.

My role crossed strategy, naming, identity, program development, recruitment, funding communication and instruction. The connective job was making sure the promise of B-Force held together from the first pitch to the classroom.

01
CONCEPT + POSITIONING

Proposed the accelerator model.

  • Reframed the original business institute idea as an accelerator
  • Centered the concept on Black founders and barriers to growth
  • Focused the model around scalability, capital access and business development
02
NAME + IDENTITY

Gave the program a name people could remember.

  • Created the B-Force name
  • Designed the visual identity
  • Built a distinct presence within the larger Black BRAND ecosystem
03
PROGRAM ECOSYSTEM

Helped shape how the experience worked.

  • Participated in program-structure development
  • Built recruitment and promotional touchpoints
  • Created the digital and visual ecosystem around the program
  • Connected the brand promise to the founder experience
04
FUNDING STORY

Built the partner-facing case for support.

  • Developed the funding and sponsorship strategy
  • Created partner-facing materials
  • Structured the value proposition around program impact and opportunity
  • Created materials that continued to be reused in later funding efforts
05
INSTRUCTION

Stayed connected to the founder experience.

I teach a two-hour Market Definition for Scalability session in every B-Force cohort, which means the work never stopped at brand strategy or promotion. I remained inside the program itself.

ROLE CLARITY

Strategy and closing were different jobs.

MY LANE

I developed the funding and sponsorship strategy, partner value proposition and supporting materials.

BLAIR’S LANE

Blair managed sponsor relationships and closed the deals.

THE RESULT

The work supported B-Force’s first major $1M funding milestone and continued to support later funding efforts.
